Meghana in Hindi means rain, is a restaurant that was started in the year 2006, at Koramangala, Bengaluru with the intention of serving authentic Andhra style food, using quality ingredients and the pure passion and love for what they do. Since it’s humble opening a decade and a half back, Meghana is honored to have spread across five branches in the city and is raring to cover all corners in the years to come. Meghana is a proud outing and to be a favorite among all kinds of masses which range from corporate people and college-going students in the afternoons to families and singletons at dinner time.
Branches: Koramangala, Jayanagar, Residency Road, Marathahalli, Indiranagar
Décor is causal and not very much different than the typical restaurant. Meghna foods is a mid-budget Andhra style restaurant. Not very posh but clean and decent enough. You will find ambiance is just normal and nothing extra-ordinary as their USP is only Andhra taste of the food. Service is good, hygiene can be improved a bit.
Meghna Foods one of the amazing Andhra style biryani in Bangalore. I must confess this is one of the best biryani I had in Bangalore. The taste of biryanis is different. I have my hands on Chicken Biryani, Meghana Special Biryani, Mutton Biryani and Paneer Biryani here. Each of the biryani has nice flavor in it. You should definitely taste their Meghna special biryani. Usually, if you ask them, they will recommend the same. Meghna special biryani makes a case for a perfect combination of biryani with boneless chicken bhuna cooked perfectly with egg. Bhuna is a cooking process where spices are gently fried in oil to bring out their flavor. Then meat (here chicken) is added to the spices and then cooked in its own juices which results in deep strong flavors but very little sauce. This gives the dish what it needed the most i.e. Taste and very different flavor. You will notice the presentation is very different from chicken Bhuna on the top of the biryani.
Other than biryani, other dishes are also nice here. You can taste chicken 65, Guntur chicken, chilly chicken, butter chicken and more. Every dish here wouldn’t fail to impress you. You will love having a side dish with Biryani. For me usually, it is Chilly chicken. I have been to 3 outlets of Meghana Foods and taste is just great at every one of them.
